Howdens Joinery Limited is recruiting for a Counter Sales Warehouse Person in a busy depot. You will be the first point of contact for trade customers, advising on products and solutions while keeping stock accurate and ready for collection or delivery.

In this hands-on, fast-paced role you’ll drive sales, process orders, and support warehouse operations. The successful candidate will have sales or customer service experience, strong communication, and a keen eye for detail to maintain safe

Qualifications

• Forklift licence desirable.
• Experience in a sales, retail or customer service environment.
• Motivated by driving sales and delivering excellent customer service.
• Able to adapt quickly and manage a varied, fast paced workload.
• Confident and friendly communicator who builds strong customer relationships.
• Able to clearly explain products and solutions to trade customers.
• Good understanding of stock control and health and safety.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when handling stock and maintaining accurate records.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• A customer focused approach, with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Clear communication and strong organisational and planning skills.

Responsabilités

• Sell the full range of products and services.
• Achieve and exceed individual targets while supporting depot performance.
• Process orders, provide pricing and quotations, and manage delivery expectations.
• Generate and follow up on leads to drive sales.
• Support the warehouse when needed to keep the depot running smoothly.
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Unload and check accuracy of incoming stock deliveries in line with health & safety regulations.
• Conduct daily checks on forklift truck and other equipment.
• Maintain stock security on outgoing orders and deliveries.
• Conduct weekly stock checks.
• Rotate stock and keep the warehouse clean and well organised.
• Support deliveries, collections and general warehouse activity.

Join the UK's Number One Trade Kitchen Supplier Join Howdens as a Counter Sales Warehouse Person and play a key role in the success of your depot. From first conversation to final collection, you'll build customer relationships on the trade counter while keeping the warehouse organised, accurate and ready to go. You'll be the first point of contact for our trade customers understanding their needs, offering practical advice and turning conversations into sales. Behind the scenes, you'll make sure stock is safe, well organised and ready for collection or delivery. It's a hands-on, fast-paced role where everything you do helps deliver a reliable service our trade customers depend on.
