Keoghs in Bolton is seeking an experienced litigation lawyer to join our counter-fraud team. You will manage fraud cases from litigation through resolution, focusing on linked and organised fraud, staged and induced accidents, and data-driven investigations.

The role is based at Parklands Office in Bolton, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We value practical, client-focused advocates with civil litigation experience (ILEX/LPC), strong CPR knowledge, and excellent communication and analytical

We are incredibly proud of our reputation and of the work we do with our clients in defeating dishonest motor claims and developing strategies and to identify and prevent new and emerging risks.

Key Responsibilities

It will be the responsibility of the NDA File Handler to run fraud cases from the point of litigation through to the resolution of the case.

We're particularly interested in individuals who have experience handling:

• Linked and organised fraud claims
• Fraud rings and multi-claimant investigations
• Intelligence-led fraud litigation
• Staged and induced accidents
• Bogus passenger fraud
• Credit hire fraud
• Networked fraud operations
• Counter-fraud investigations involving multiple defendants
• Large-scale data and evidence analysis
• MIB and uninsured loss recovery claims with fraud indicators

Working Hours

35 hours per week

Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.

Primary location for this role is Bolton, Parklands Office.

We are agile workers with attendance at our offices at least 1 day a week

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience in civil litigation claims handling / as a legal File Handler or suitably qualified (ILEX, LPC etc.)
• Experience in handling linked and organised fraud is desirable however not essential
• Experience of handling RTA pre-litigated and / or litigated case load
• An understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes together with indemnity principles
• Knowledge of the litigation process / working knowledge of the CPR
• Good advocacy skills
• Good client care skills and evidence of working to client guidelines
• High level of analytical skills
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritise work, keep to deadlines and work under pressure
• Ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions
• Experience of time recording and billing systems
• Excellent IT Skills

Desirable: Qualified solicitor / CILEX with necessary practice rights (consideration will also be given to CILEX Lawyers)
