Job summary

Bupa’s Mindplace Brighton location seeks a Counsellor/Psychotherapist to provide high-quality counselling to customers. You’ll work both independently and with a multi-disciplinary clinical team, liaising daily with internal and external services and safeguarding agencies.

The role requires BACP/NCPS/UKCP accreditation and at least 3 years of post-qualification counselling experience. Part-time (minimum 3 days) with some full-time options, benefits include pension, health cover, and wellbeing

Qualifications

  • Essential: BACP Accredited Counsellors/Psychotherapists.
  • NCPS Professional Accredited Registrants required.
  • UKCP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellors/Psychotherapists required.
  • 3 years of post-qualification counselling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality counselling or brief interventions with excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations to drive evidence-based interventions.
  • Offer different models of service delivery, including face to face sessions.
  • Adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the wider therapy team.
  • Follow sessional limits based on the client’s company benefits.
  • Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
  • Offer ad-hoc wellbeing support and coaching.
  • Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
  • Deliver group psychoeducation, raise mental health awareness, and promote mental wellbeing through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies and procedures.
  • Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
  • Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.

Counsellor - Mindplace (Face to Face)

Session Requirements
  • We can offer sessions from Monday to Friday - 8am - 4pm and 2pm - 10pm
  • Weekends 08:30-17:00
  • At least one late shift or weekend shift required
  • 5 appointments per day

Your Role

As a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, you will provide high-quality, effective, and safe counselling to Bupa customers over the short, medium, or longer term. Qualifications
  • Essential:
    • BACP Accredited Counsellors/Psychotherapists
    • NCPS Professional Accredited Registrants
    • UKCP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellors/Psychotherapists
    • 3 years of full-time post-qualification counselling experience. Please note, accreditation is required at the time of application.
  • Desirable:
    • Training in incident support.
    • Corporate experience and business understanding.
