Job summary

Cardiff and Vale College is seeking a Counselling Tutor/Lecturer to join the Health and Care team. You will plan, deliver and assess counselling teaching across programmes, supporting learners to achieve goals and progress to further study or employment.

You will hold a relevant degree or HND and a teaching qualification such as a PGCE, with strong communication and organisational skills to engage learners at multiple levels. MS Office proficiency and a commitment to CPD are essential.

• Degree or HND required or equivalent.
• PGCE or recognised teaching qualification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills essential for learner support.
• Commitment to learner achievement and wellbeing with a learner-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging counselling lessons and assessments.
• Provide tutorial support and contribute to curriculum development.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in course evaluation.
• Possible evening teaching across College sites and community locations.
