• Monitor and track learner progress, attendance, achievement and progression outcomes.
• Undertake administrative duties including admissions, timetabling, assessment and record keeping.
• Support student recruitment through open days, events and promotional activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to enhance provision.
• Provide pastoral support, guidance and mentoring to ensure successful learner outcomes.
• Contribute to quality assurance processes, self-assessment and continuous improvement activities.

Are you passionate about supporting learners to succeed in counselling education? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Counselling to join our Adult Skills provision. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching, support student progression, and contribute to a dynamic and supportive curriculum team.

About the Role

As a Counselling Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering and developing counselling programmes, inspiring learners to achieve their full potential. You will contribute to programme leadership, deliver engaging lessons across a range of formats, and ensure high standards of teaching, learning and assessment. You will also support recruitment, quality assurance, and curriculum development activities while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

This is a group role, so you will be expected to work flexibly across both campus sites at Doncaster and Scunthorpe.

Actual Salary: £21,414.30 - £27,105.21 + £6,141.62 - £7,773.76 Annual Employer Pension Contributions.

Working Hours: 22.5 hours

Part-time Working Pattern: Tuesday 8.30 - 17.00, Wednesday 8.30 - 17.00, Thursday 8.30 - 17.00

Key Responsibilities

Essential Criteria

• Relevant counselling qualification at Level 3 or above
• Level 5 Teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one within a specified timeframe)
• Experience within counselling practice or related industry setting
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to inclusive practice, safeguarding and high-quality student experience
