Location: 1 Catford Road, Catford, London, SE6 4RU

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 6+ Month

Working Hours: Mon Fri, 09 00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £21.45 per hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Work 35 hours per week.
  • Manage Council Tax accounts and other revenue streams.
  • Recover debts and maximize collection efficiently.
  • Respond to inquiries via letter, phone, in person, and electronically.
  • Process applications for discounts and reliefs, considering fraud prevention.
  • Handle complaints and suggest improvements for service delivery.
  • Submit irrecoverable debts for write-off as per procedures.
  • Maintain an accurate database and fulfill audit requirements.
  • Engage in outreach work to improve collection.
  • Cooperate with external bodies to assist in revenue collection.
  • Manage enforcement agents and report on their performance.
  • Prepare records, deal with reports, and ensure data protection.
  • Stay informed on relevant legislation and technology.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff as needed.
  • Assist in designing and implementing training programs.
  • Contribute to process and procedure reviews.
  • Conduct quality checks for accuracy.
  • Promote equal opportunities and customer care.
