The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) is inviting two registrant chiropractors to join its Council Associate Programme, offering a unique chance to explore board-level governance and prepare for future non-executive roles.

You will attend Council meetings, participate in discussions, and benefit from mentoring and training from experienced leaders, with a commitment of about six days per year and a mix of Kennington, South London, and virtual sessions.

Council Associate – General Chiropractic Council

Help shape the future of chiropractic regulation.

The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) is seeking two registrant chiropractors to join our Council Associate Programme, offering a valuable opportunity to gain insight into board-level governance and develop skills for future non-executive roles.

You will attend Council meetings, contribute to discussions, learn from experienced Council members and executives, and benefit from mentoring and training.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have a genuine interest in the GCC, public protection and public service.
• Are keen to learn about corporate governance and board responsibilities.
• Bring excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Can commit to approximately six days per year.
• Previous board or committee experience is not required.
• Appointment: Two years, commencing 4 January 2027
• Remuneration: £300 per day worked (circa 6 days per annum)
• Location: Kennington, South London, and virtual meetings
• Interview date: 19 November 2026
