Location(s): Edinburgh & Leeds
Hours: Full-time
Working pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

In Places, we are continuously looking to identify ways to more effectively spend our money on the estate for our colleagues and the environments they work in. We have a great opportunity to join the Places Costs team to demystify complex information to unlock opportunities, covering new initiatives to reactive maintenance and process improvement, using data skills and digital transformation.

The team sits within People & Places, working closely with our friends in Future Workplace, Workplace Experience, Finance and our external partners. With so many teams working on improving our estate, you'll display a positive can-do attitude and the ability to form excellent relationships at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Insight and analysis: Deliver clear, actionable insight from property and sustainability data, linking analysis to the Group's strategic goals and presenting the "so what" for senior audiences.

  • Interpretation of data: Interpret multiple data sources to identify trends and opportunities, simplifying complexity into compelling narratives that drive cost and operational efficiency.

  • Cost management: Build understanding of the relationship between BAU and investment, support business case development with great storytelling and multi‑team collaboration.

  • Cost Transfer Charging: Understanding how the estate is utilised by LBG and own cost driver inputs to charge for the spaces they use.

  • External scanning and benchmarking: Monitor external trends, regulation, and industry practice related to property spend including productivity measures.

  • Group values: Role model Group values, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

  • People and self‑development: Take ownership of personal growth and support capability development within the team. Advocate for AI adoption. Actively seek and provide feedback and respond accordingly.

  • Self‑motivation is key – proactive in identifying issues and opportunities and taking ownership of personal development.

  • Stakeholder management – ability to coordinate activity across multiple teams and find solutions, not problems.
