Job summary

Stone Recruitment Group is assisting a market-leading national law firm in recruiting an experienced Costs Lawyer or Costs Draftsman to work on a broad range of litigation matters in Leeds. You will support specialist teams across clinical, insurance, property and commercial litigation, advising on costs and drafting essential documents.

The role offers exposure to high-profile disputes and collaboration with colleagues across the costs and litigation practice groups.

Qualifications

• Experience producing Precedents H, R and T.
• Advising on third-party costs.
• Drafting Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute and Replies.
• Negotiating inter partes costs.
• Preparing costs schedules for summary assessment.
• Managing provisional and detailed assessments.
• Providing costs advice to colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

• Support specialist litigation teams on a broad range of matters.
• Collaborate with Clinical Risk, Insurance Litigation, Property Litigation and Commercial Litigation teams.
• Join a market-leading national team within a respected law firm.

Are you an experienced Costs Lawyer or Costs Draftsman looking to work on a wide variety of interesting litigation cases?

This is an opportunity to join a market-leading Litigation Team acting for major public and private sector organisations, insurers, local authorities and housing associations. You'll play a key role supporting specialist litigation teams on a broad range of challenging and rewarding matters.

You will need knoweldge/experience of:

• Producing Precedents H, R and T
• Advising on third-party costs
• Drafting Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute and Replies
• Negotiating inter partes costs
• Preparing costs schedules for summary assessment
• Managing provisional and detailed assessments
• Providing costs advice to colleagues and clients

You'll work closely with teams across:

• Clinical Risk
• Insurance Litigation
• Property Litigation
• Commercial Litigation
