Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a proactive Costings Finance Analyst to own site costing, inventory valuation, and standard costs across Palethorpes with travel to Poole. You’ll drive cost accuracy, margins, and manufacturing cost reporting, partnering with Manufacturing, Procurement and NPD to identify cost-reduction opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified / Part-Qualified in CIMA or ACCA
• Experience with standard costing and manufacturing finance
• Experience with ERP costing
• Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities
• Ability to partner with operations and explain financial impacts to non-financial teams
• Travel flexibility and driving license required

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate standard costs, BOMs, routing assumptions, labour and overhead rates
• End-to-end costings responsibility
• Own site costing structures within ERP
• Provide product margin, manufacturing cost, and inventory valuation reporting
• Perform variance analysis across material, labour, yield, and overhead costs
• Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, and NPD to support cost reduction opportunities
• Provide costing inputs for budgets and forecasts
• Track manufacturing cost performance, production efficiency, and yield impacts
• Ensure costing integrity and inventory controls
• Support operational analysis and budget control
• Provide costing inputs for CapEx business cases and operational impact assessments
• Apply continuous improvement to existing and new processes
• Maintain site knowledge of lines/processes/portfolio
• Consider external influences such as inflation
• Challenge information from operations, commercial, and others
• Adapt to frequent pace beyond traditional finance reporting
