Job summary

Turner & Townsend Glasgow is seeking a Cost Manager to join our Energy and Natural Resources team on NEC3/4 projects. This full-time role offers hybrid working and a pathway to lead cost management on high-profile energy schemes in the renewables sector.

You will administer contracts, monitor costs, forecast spend, and drive value engineering with client and contractor teams. A degree or HNC and NEC 3/4 knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in renewables sector (hydrogen, carbon capture).
• Knowledge of NEC 3/4 contracts.

Responsibilities

• Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
• Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to budget.
• Proactively monitor cost variance and contract cash flow and timely applications.
• Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver KPIs, cost control and value engineering.
• Manage contract change within governance and best practice.
• Improve forecast accuracy and budget planning.

The Cost Management team in Glasgow are undergoing a period of growth, due to increased client demand we are seeking to expand our current capability. With this in mind we have opportunities for aspiring and current Cost Managers to join an innovative and dynamic team, working on industry-leading Energy projects.

Job Objectives:

• Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
• Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
• Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
• Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice
• Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budget

• Experience of working within the renewables sector, hydrogen, carbon capture.
• Degree or HNC level qualification
