Our client is a leading consultancy provider to the Renewable Energy Sector. Using skills, processes and knowledge, they provide industry leading services to clients. We are currently looking to recruit Cost Managers / Quantity Surveyor with proven Energy (Power, Renewables, Distribution, Transmission) experience to work on projects ranging from Nuclear to Carbon Capture.

This role is on a hybrid basis, working three days across client sites and two days either from home or at your nearest office, however flexibility on travel may be needed at times.

Main job purpose
  • Managing various contracts in alignment with project goals and established policies.
  • Ensuring precise monitoring, forecasting, and reporting of project costs until completion, staying within the approved budget.
  • Actively tracking and addressing cost discrepancies and contract cash flow, ensuring applications are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Working closely with both client and contractor teams to oversee the successful delivery of project outcomes, including performance metrics, cost management, and value optimisation.
  • Effectively managing changes within contracts, ensuring projects adhere to governance standards and industry best practices.
  • Promoting enhancements in the precision of cost forecasts and budgeting processes
Qualifications / Experience
  • Ideally Degree qualified in a relevant field
  • Experience as a Cost Manager within the Energy Sector (Wind, Solar, Hydrogen, Hydroelectric or Nuclear)
  • Experience with Change Management and Control, Risk Management, Estimating, Procurement and Reporting
