Job summary

Anglian Water Services seeks a commercially astute Cost Control Manager to join the Supply Maintenance Delivery Team. You’ll oversee cost capture, contract performance, and GDPR-compliant records to support a high-profile capital programme.

Hybrid role with travel to offices across the Anglian Water Region; 2-3 days in the office. The package includes health care, life assurance, pension and bonus, and a strong focus on leadership and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3 contracts and construction law.
• Experience in a complex matrix team environment.
• Relevant degree in construction or commercial management.
• Professional qualification (RICS, CIOB, ICE) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Report on commercial and contractual performance.
• Ensure cost capture and allocation.
• GDPR-compliant contract records and systems.
• Drive improvements by refining commercial processes.
• Produce and assess cost estimates.
• Ensure commercial compliance and cash flow forecasting.
• Manage liabilities, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Oversee timely payments to the supply chain.
• Maintain consistency in procedures and documentation.

Anglian Water is seeking a highly motivated and commercially astute Cost Control Manager to join our Supply Maintenance Delivery Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small team of commercial professionals and play a pivotal role in managing the financial performance of our Supply Maintenance Delivery programme.

As we embrace a new way of working, our newly formed Supply Maintenance Delivery Team is building a fresh inspection and delivery framework, embedding innovative processes, and forging strong partnerships with our partners. It’s an exciting time to be part of one of Water Supply’s largest capital programmes, where safety, efficiency, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Report on commercial and contractual performance to stakeholders
• Ensure accurate cost capture and allocation
• Maintain GDPR-compliant contract records and systems
• Drive improvements by challenging and refining commercial processes
• Produce and assess cost estimates
• Ensure commercial compliance and accurate cash flow forecasting

• Uphold consistency in commercial procedures and documentation
• Support and develop your team to deliver with confidence and competence

What We’re Looking For

• Strong understanding of NEC3 contracts and construction law.
• Proven experience in a complex matrix team environment.
• Professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB, ICE) (desirable).
• Relevant degree in construction or commercial management (desirable).
