Something a little different for an experienced Cost Manager…..

We’re looking for an experienced Cost Manager to join a leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy working across the affordable housing sector.

You’ll take responsibility for the commercial management of the architectural design team, ensuring strong financial control, accurate fee management, and effective commercial risk oversight across multiple live projects. This role would suit an experienced cost consultant or quantity surveyor looking to take ownership of the commercial performance of a busy design-led team of 20 talented individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee project contracts, invoicing, and commercial risk management
  • Maintain control of project profitability and fee recovery
  • Advise on contractual and financial obligations
  • Support and develop commercial awareness within the design team
  • Manage client relationships and oversee service delivery
About You
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or another construction-related discipline
  • Strong commercial management experience within consultancy or design practice
  • Familiar with RIBA Plan of Work stages 1–7
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
