Cost Engineering Lead

Join our clients Team as a Cost Engineering Lead! We're looking for a talented individual to support their team on a number of GUAT projects.

This is a contract role (Inside IR35) based in Corsham, with some travel required, starting in January until the end of March 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain CAAS-compliant cost models (e.g., CRBS).
  • Create, review, and validate Whole Life Cost (WLC) forecasts.
  • Verify cost estimates and assumptions, ensuring auditability.
  • Generate outputs for RNs/BCs/SPRs and feeder worksheets for cost models.
  • Cost project risks, opportunities, and dependencies, including SRA outputs.
  • Review project schedules for cost implications and integrate into models.
  • Produce robust Cost Data Assumption Lists (CDALs) and summary assumptions.
  • Ensure correct accounting treatments (escalation, VAT, FX) in cost models.
  • Support assurance engagements and management reviews.
  • Lead monthly cost model review meetings with stakeholders.
Essential Skills
  • Expertise in CAAS-compliant cost models and MOD financial processes.
  • Strong background in cost engineering and cost modelling.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Experience working within MOD environments.
  • SC Clearance.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with VOSE ModelRisk.
  • Experience in Verification & Validation in MOD finance.
  • MODNET account and laptop access.
Additional Information
  • Day rate: £450-£490 inside IR35.
  • Hybrid working - 3 days onsite with some travel required.
  • Duration - January 2026 until the end of March 2026.
