A leading consulting firm in Scotland seeks an experienced Senior Cost Engineer to support significant growth in the Energy & Natural Resources sector. You will manage cost control for complex projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and effective reporting. Turner & Townsend is recruiting for Cost Engineers to join the Energy & Natural Resources division. The team seeks senior cost engineering experience to support a period of significant growth within a Transmission and Distribution client context.
A Cost Engineer will be responsible for work packages and projects of varying size and complexity, leading cost control for multiple, non-related projects or a single highly complex project within the programme of works. They will manage relationships between time, cost, risk, change, reporting and scope, and create and maintain robust cost controls and reports to provide clients with accurate data to drive management decisions. The role aims to ensure client objectives are met and projects are delivered to time, cost targets and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
Qualifications
You have professional Project Controls experience specialising in Cost Engineering/Control across one or more sectors and throughout the Project lifecycle. While nuclear experience is desirable, it is not essential. You should have a detailed understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting and performance reporting and analysis, and be able to coordinate with other teams using multidisciplinary knowledge.
You will be a strong communicator with leadership behaviours, able to influence, manage, motivate, coach and develop a team in a diverse and inclusive environment. You promote empowerment and contribution and are passionate about building a community and support network beyond your delivery role.
