Job summary

Poutrix is seeking a Senior Cost Consultant to support assurance reviews on major programs, focusing on NEC3/NEC4 contracts. You will apply QS skills and digital tools to validate costs, strengthen controls, and deliver insights. Hybrid working with occasional client-site travel is expected.

The role requires experience with NEC options, strong Excel/data analysis, and a proactive approach to process improvements and dashboard reporting.

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field.
Professional membership (RICS/CICES or equivalent).
Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts (Option C/E) and related audits.
Core QS skills: measurement, estimating, valuation, change control, forecasting.
Proficiency with Excel and data analysis; interest in Power BI and low-code tools.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver cost and commercial assurance reviews on NEC Option C/E projects, including open-book validation and cost testing.
Support payroll/timesheet audits and verify costs across labor, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
Review compensation events and target movements; provide evidence-based analysis.
Assess contract compliance and contribute to process improvements.
Prepare findings reports and dashboards for project teams; support closing actions.
Use data tools (Excel/Power Query/Power BI) to automate testing and analytics.
