Overview

Corridor Supervisor - Wembley
Full-time Secondary School Immediate Start

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with well-regarded secondary schools in the Wembley area to recruit Corridor Supervisors to help maintain a calm, safe and orderly environment during the school day. These are full-time positions available for an immediate start and may lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Corridor Supervisor, you will play a key part in promoting positive behaviour across the school by ensuring that students remain focused, respectful and safe while moving between lessons or during unstructured times of the day. You will be a visible and proactive presence in the school corridors, supporting staff and helping to uphold the school's behaviour policy.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising corridors, stairwells and communal areas during lesson transitions and break times
  • Challenging and de-escalating low-level disruptive behaviour in a calm and professional manner
  • Supporting students in getting to lessons promptly and prepared to learn
  • Reporting any behaviour incidents or safeguarding concerns to senior staff
  • Building positive relationships with students and promoting a respectful school culture

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students in a school, youth work or pastoral setting
  • Confidence and resilience when managing student behaviour
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • A proactive and professional approach to supporting school staff and students
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
