Job summary

BDO is a leading UK accountancy and business advisory firm seeking a pro-active tax advisor to manage a portfolio of clients and deliver cross-functional tax advisory services. You will work with senior managers, Directors and Partners to identify opportunities to enhance delivery and add value for clients while navigating a dynamic regulatory environment.

You will bring up-to-date tax knowledge, lead complex projects, and collaborate across teams to support business growth and client success

Qualifications

• In depth, up-to-date knowledge of taxation with specialist knowledge for complex issues.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients including take-on, engagement, billings and cash recovery.
• Ability to provide tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients via shared service teams or technology tools.
• Understanding of potential risks to the Firm related to quality control procedures.
• Experience leading complex projects.
• Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage your own tasks while collaborating with others and communicating with senior managers, Directors and Partners.
• Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and provide additional services to clients.
• Lead complex tax projects and manage client portfolios including onboarding and engagement processes.
• Deliver tax compliance and advisory work to a diverse client base using shared service resources or technology tools.
• Navigate regulatory changes and advise clients accordingly.

Job description

You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you’ll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO's Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients. We are looking for someone with;

• An in depth, up to date, knowledge of taxation with specialist knowledge and the ability to deal with complex tax issues.
• Experience of dealing with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients.
• Experience of managing a portfolio of clients including control of client take on and engagement, billings, and identification of opportunities to improve recoveries, together with cash collection.
• Ability to provide Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients using resource from a shared service team or via technology tools.
• An understanding of potential risks to the Firm in relation to the Firm's quality control procedures
• Experience of leading complex projects.
• Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent
