Job summary

Insite Public Practice Recruitment Limited is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior to join its Leeds tax team. This role offers exposure to a varied portfolio and a move beyond pure compliance towards advisory work, with opportunities to work alongside experienced Managers and Directors.

You will prepare corporation tax computations and returns, manage client relationships, and contribute to planning projects while developing your advisory skills in a collaborative, supportive environment in Leeds.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate tax within a UK accountancy practice.
• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification or actively working towards one.
• Strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with your own portfolio of clients.

• Assist with group reorganisations and changes in ownership.

An established and growing accountancy practice is looking for a Corporate Tax Senior to join its Leeds tax team.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their experience, work more closely with clients and develop their advisory skills within a supportive and progressive environment.
Rather than being purely compliance-led, the role will give you exposure to a variety of corporate tax projects and the opportunity to work alongside experienced Managers and Directors.

What you'll be doing

You’ll work across a varied portfolio and take increasing responsibility for your clients, including:

• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
• Managing day-to-day relationships with your own portfolio of clients.
• Responding to client queries and providing practical tax guidance.
• Assisting with corporate tax advisory and planning projects.
• Supporting acquisitions, disposals and restructuring assignments.
• Assisting with group reorganisations and changes in ownership.
• Identifying potential tax planning opportunities.
• Working closely with accounts, audit and advisory teams.
• Supporting Managers and Directors on more complex assignments.
• Developing your technical knowledge across a broad range of corporate tax matters.
• Assisting with the review and development of junior team members where appropriate.
• Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and HMRC guidance.

Who are we looking for?

You could be an experienced Corporate Tax Senior, or a strong Semi-Senior who is ready for more responsibility.
You’ll ideally have:

• Previous corporate tax experience within UK accountancy practice.
• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification, or be actively working towards one.
• Good corporation tax technical knowledge.
• Experience preparing corporate tax computations and returns.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and client management skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload.
• A genuine interest in developing your advisory experience.
• Ambition to progress your career within corporate tax.
