Dains Accountants & Advisers is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager for our Dartford office. You’ll lead a diverse client portfolio, mentor junior staff and report to the Tax Partner/Director, within a friendly yet professional environment.

You will review corporate tax returns and computations, address client and HMRC queries, and drive tax planning with Partners. Manage WIP, billing, and time to ensure department targets are met.

Qualifications

• Qualified to ACA / CTA or similar level.
• Proven advisory skills.
• Desire to deliver excellent client services.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Applies technical skills to provide solutions to the client via an understanding of the tax system.
• Proactive in identifying changes in the legislation and knowing how this impacts on own client base.
• Maintains and develops technical knowledge through appropriate training.
• Experienced in managing risk in compliance work.
• Good IT skills including Outlook, Excel, Word and Accounting packages.

Responsabilités

• Review Corporate Tax Returns and Computations for clients.
• Handle tax queries from clients and HMRC as needed.
• Engage with clients to manage their tax affairs on an ongoing basis.
• Assist Partners in delivering tax planning advice.
• Monitor WIP and ensure fees are raised and billed on time.
• Review colleagues' work for technical accuracy.
• Meet chargeable hours targets and recovery rates.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to business development.
