Job summary

Clark Wood – Tax Recruitment is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager in Peterborough to lead a varied portfolio, manage complex compliance, and drive advisory projects within an established tax team.

You will work closely with Partners and Directors, providing technical guidance, building client relationships, and helping identify opportunities for expanded services.

Qualifications

• Qualified or qualified by experience in ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA.
• Experience in accountancy practice with corporate tax.
• Experience managing a portfolio of corporate clients.
• Strong technical and client-facing skills.
• Comfortable with both compliance and advisory work.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, including larger groups and complex businesses.
• Reviewing complex corporation tax returns and tax computations.
• Managing and delivering corporate tax advisory projects.
• Providing technical advice on complex tax matters.
• Building strong relationships with clients and identifying further opportunities to support them.
• Attending client meetings and advising on changes in tax legislation.
• Managing workflow across the team and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Reviewing and supporting the development of junior team members.
• Assisting with proposals, fee quotes and new business opportunities.

Clark Wood is recruiting for a Corporate Tax Manager to join an established and growing tax team in Peterborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional looking for a role combining portfolio management, complex compliance work, advisory projects and team leadership.

The Role

As Corporate Tax Manager, you'll take responsibility for a varied portfolio of corporate clients while working closely with Partners and Directors.

• Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, including larger groups and complex businesses
• Reviewing complex corporation tax returns and tax computations
• Managing and delivering corporate tax advisory projects
• Providing technical advice on complex tax matters
• Building strong relationships with clients and identifying further opportunities to support them

The Candidate

• ATT / CTA / ACA / ACCA / CA qualified or qualified by experience
• Strong corporate tax experience gained within an accountancy practice
• Experience managing a portfolio of corporate clients
• Confident dealing with complex corporation tax matters
• Previous experience reviewing work and managing or mentoring junior staff
• Strong technical and client-facing skills
• Comfortable getting involved in both compliance and advisory work
