The role combines strategic advisory, client relationship management, and team leadership, overseeing compliance and developing the corporate tax team to deliver technical excellence and commercial results across the region.

Qualifications

• CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA qualification or equivalent.
• Extensive Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax experience within practice.
• Experience at Senior Manager / Director level.
• Strong technical research skills for complex legislation.
• Confident leading teams and managing senior client relationships.
• Commercially aware with a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients as a trusted adviser.
• Oversee the corporate tax compliance process regionally.
• Support Tax Partners on complex advisory projects.

We're currently supporting a leading accountancy and business advisory firm in Birmingham that is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Director to strengthen its regional tax leadership team.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional who enjoys combining strategic advisory work, client relationship management, and team leadership.

The role

You will manage a substantial corporate client portfolio while working closely with Tax Partners to deliver high-level advisory services. Alongside overseeing regional compliance processes, you'll lead and develop the corporate tax team, ensuring both technical excellence and strong commercial performance.

Key responsibilities
