Job summary

Alexander Lyons Solutions in Belfast is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to lead a varied client portfolio, taking ownership of complex compliance and advisory work.

You will gain visibility, manage deadlines, and contribute to advisory projects while mentoring junior team members in a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in UK corporate tax compliance.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and statutory accounts.
• Experience managing a client portfolio independently.
• Mentoring or leadership experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients and act as main point of contact.
• Review corporation tax returns and oversee tax computations.
• Ensure accurate and timely submissions per HMRC requirements.
• Liaise with HMRC on queries, audits and compliance matters.
• Identify tax risks and implement controls.
• Support tax accounting and reporting, including tax provisions.
• Assist with advisory projects such as restructurings and international tax matters.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Build strong, long-term client relationships.

The Opportunity

Role

• Managing a portfolio of corporate clients and acting as their main point of contact
• Reviewing corporation tax returns and overseeing tax computations
