Job summary

PRO TAX in Portsmouth seeks an experienced Corporate Tax Associate Director to lead a portfolio of key corporate clients, oversee compliance, and deliver tailored tax advisory services. You will partner with Tax Partners to drive service quality and client value.

You will coach and develop the corporate tax team, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the wider tax practice through process improvements and team leadership.

Qualifications

• CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA qualification or equivalent.
• Significant corporate tax or mixed tax experience gained within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax legislation, with the ability to research and resolve complex tax matters.
• Experience working with clients across a range of industries, with exposure to multiple sectors being advantageous.
• Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
• The ability to support, coach and develop team members while contributing to the continued success of the wider tax team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of key corporate clients, overseeing their corporate tax compliance requirements and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
• Work closely with Tax Partners to deliver tailored tax advisory services to both existing and new clients.
• Support the management and development of the corporate tax team, including conducting appraisals, providing coaching and mentoring, and developing technical knowledge and skills.
• Drive continuous improvement in the quality, efficiency and delivery of client work.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, client meetings and the delivery of effective tax solutions.
• Support the growth and development of the wider tax practice.
