Job summary

EY Belfast is seeking a L2 Senior Associate - Tax Advisor to join its Corporate Tax team. You will work on a broad portfolio of tax work, including planning, compliance and advisory assignments for mid-market and international clients, developing your technical knowledge and client handling skills.

In this role you’ll collaborate with colleagues, coach junior staff, and contribute to winning and delivering high-quality client work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on professional growth

Qualifications

• Experience as a tax practitioner in UK corporation tax.
• Up to date knowledge of changes in the tax environment.
• Excellent communication skills in a range of situations both written and oral.
• An enthusiastic and flexible attitude to work.
• The ability to work as a strong and motivated team player.
• A desire to coach more junior staff.
• ATT / ACA / CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA).
• Solid background in UK corporate tax compliance or advisory (ideal).
• Excellent project management skills (ideal).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of corporate tax services ensuring technical excellence.
• Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide exceptional client service.
• Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, supporting the identification of opportunities.
• Proactive member of the corporate tax team, responsible for day-to-day client liaison.
