Role Overview
A legal 500 listed law firm with offices across Lancashire is seeking an existing Partner or Senior Associate (Ideally 10 Year PQE+) to head up their highly regarded Corporate department.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside an existing Director initially, before taking over the reins and leading the Corporate team.
- Enjoy direct client contact with key clients and contribute to building the department by actively engaging in business development activities.
- Receive secretarial support and guidance from a supportive management board, maintaining a traditional feel to the practice while benefiting from an excellent work/life balance.
- Travel to the Preston office as needed to liaise with the Director and discuss plans for progressing and growing the team.
- Benefit from a generous hybrid working split, with the option to work remotely, from the office, or a hybrid arrangement.
- Support the growth of an industry‑leading corporate team within the firm.
Qualifications
- Existing Partner or Senior Associate, ideally with 10+ years of post‑qualification experience.
- Broad experience in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, management buy‑ins/outs, joint venture agreements, restructuring and partnerships.
- Familiarity with a client base that is primarily city‑focused rather than local Lancashire businesses.
