Job summary

eNL Legal Recruitment is seeking a Corporate Solicitor to join a busy team in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The role offers high‑quality transactional work, strong client exposure, and clear opportunities for progression.

You will handle a varied caseload across corporate finance and governance, advising owner‑managed businesses, listed groups and lenders. You will draft and negotiate documentation, manage relationships and contribute to business development, with supervision of junior lawyers as needed

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in corporate law.
• Strong experience in corporate finance and transactional work.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of corporate finance and company law matters.
• Advise a diverse client base including owner‑managed businesses, listed companies, investors and lenders.
• Support on larger, high‑value corporate transactions across sectors.
• Draft and negotiate transactional documents, governance and commercial agreements.
• Build and maintain client relationships while delivering commercially focused legal advice.
• Contribute to supervision and development of junior team members and assist BD initiatives.

• Strong experience in corporate finance and transactional work gained in private practice or in-house.
• Confident managing your own caseload while contributing effectively to complex team led transactions.
• Excellent technical ability, communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior Lawyers would be advantageous.
