Job summary

William James Recruitment is seeking a Corporate Solicitor/Senior Solicitor in Manchester up to £105,000 plus bonus and benefits. The role focuses on high-value corporate transactional work within a well-established national practice.

You will handle M&A, corporate finance, shareholder agreements, and JV work, with progression opportunities and client exposure in a growing Manchester team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 5-10 years' PQE and strong experience in corporate transactional work.
• Trained within a reputable City, national, or leading regional law firm.
• Strong technical ability and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Advising on a broad range of M&A, corporate finance, and private equity transactions.
• Supporting clients on shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and investment work.
• Providing corporate governance and commercial advisory support.
• Managing transactions from instruction through to completion with autonomy.
• Working with partners and senior stakeholders on high-value deals.
• Building and developing client relationships and networks.
• Contributing to business development and growth of the Manchester practice.

This opportunity offers an experienced corporate solicitor the platform to develop their profile within the Manchester market, working on high-quality matters while supporting the continued growth of a well-established national practice.

As a Corporate Solicitor/ Senior Solicitor, you will play a key role in delivering complex transactional work, working closely with partners and senior stakeholders while gaining increased responsibility, client exposure, and progression opportunities within a growing team.

The Role

• Advising on a broad range of M&A, corporate finance, and private equity transactions
• Supporting clients on shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and investment work
• Providing corporate governance and commercial advisory support
• Managing transactions from instruction through to completion, with appropriate autonomy
• Working closely with partners and senior stakeholders on high-value and complex deals
• Building and developing client relationships, with scope to grow your own network
• Supporting business development activity and contributing to the growth of the Manchester practice
