Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

The Corporate Receptionist is the first point of contact for all clients and colleagues in the KF Ryder Court office. The reception team are located on both the ground floor and the 4th floor providing crucial support to the client suite. Reporting to the Operations & Facilities Manager UK the role is a key member of the Operations team promoting a positive client experience, quality interactions, and the highest levels of professionalism.

The ideal candidate will be client and colleague focused, a team player, with an approachable and positive interpersonal style.

Reception operates from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm in three shift patterns. To meet business needs and under exceptional circumstances there may also be a requirement (with notice whenever possible) to provide support outside of these hours.

Reception Duties
  • Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service by greeting and assisting external guests, ensuring a positive first impression, and promptly notifying colleagues of arrivals.
  • Manage both client suite and meeting room bookings, oversee the effective use, presentation, and upkeep of all spaces. Coordinate with IT and Facilities teams to ensure equipment and amenities are fully operational.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for colleagues hosting large meetings or events, coordinating all arrangements from planning through to completion. This includes room and equipment setup, catering provision, and meet-and-greet support.
  • Supervise Korn Ferry-related contractors by maintaining accurate sign-in and sign-out records and confirming arrivals with the Operations team.
  • Manage incoming calls via the switchboard, directing calls efficiently and professionally to the appropriate recipients.
  • Oversee all visitor and event bookings, including room setup arrangements, lounge and roof terrace usage, and ensuring appropriate clear-down following events.
  • Coordinate courier and taxi services in line with established company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all security policies and procedures are adhered to in line with ISO standards.
Administrative Duties
  • Organise, maintain, and regularly update all reception-related documentation to ensure accuracy and easy accessibility.
  • Manage invoices by ensuring all vendor invoices (e.g. taxi and courier services) are received, checked, and uploaded accurately in a timely manner.
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations team as needed, including handling ad hoc tasks such as printing, binding, and general office assistance.
Dress Code

The Korn Ferry Reception team have a formal work attire.

Requirements

Navy blue suit trousers / skirt and a formal, collared, white or cream shirt / blouse and smart work shoes. Jewellery worn must be modest and considered appropriate by Korn Ferry.

Korn Ferry will provide a uniform, but currently if an individual wishes to wear their own clothes, they can if they conform to the dress code. (Please note : the colour of the trousers / skirt may change from year to year).

Education, Experience, & Other Qualifications

The successful candidate will have 2+ years' experience within a Corporate Receptionist role. It is critical that the candidate brings direct experience of working within a client-focused professional services environment.

The candidate will have excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening) and will be able to demonstrate experience of working with a variety of office systems e.g. switchboard, video conferencing, Microsoft outlook. The ideal candidate must be confident, diplomatic with an ability to develop productive professional relationships. They will be highly motivated, demonstrate good judgment, and possess superior interpersonal skills.

The candidate must have an A-Level education or equivalent.
