Position:

Two Corporate Governance Secretaries based at Ailsa Hospital.

What you will do:

The Corporate Governance Secretaries will provide a high level, dedicated administrative and minute secretary service to designated Board Committees, in support of NHS Board meetings and workshops, Governance and Professional Advisory committees. You will work closely with Committee Chairs to compile Agendas and papers for designated committees, ensuring these are issued and published to meeting schedules. The roles also offer an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in providing administration support for the Board’s whistleblowing process, policy management and corporate governance through support to the Head of Corporate Governance. The role may require attendance at designated Board committee throughout Ayrshire and Arran, therefore you must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

With an HND in administration or equivalent administration or secretarial experience, you will have extensive experience of organising meetings and taking minutes at meetings. You will have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. You will be able to deal effectively with a number of simultaneous tasks and have the ability, commitment and judgement to ensure that actions are delivered within deadlines. A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages is essential and knowledge of the Board’s governance framework and whistleblowing policy would be welcomed.

Hours:

Both posts – 22.25 hours per week. The split of working hours will be discussed with applicants with a 4 and 2 day, or 3 and 3 days split preferred. A degree of flexibility in working days/hours is required to ensure the Committee schedule can be covered and evening working may be required at a maximum of two evenings over a six-week period.

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
