Corporate Finance Manager

Our client is a leading chartered accountancy firm with offices throughout the United Kingdom. The Manchester office has 14 partners and specializes in sectors including healthcare, sports & leisure, property, recruitment, retail, automotive, and hospitality across the UK mid-market.

What RES are looking for

The Manchester office seeks a motivated M&A Executive / Middle Manager with 5-7 years of experience in an established accountancy firm, advising on business transactions and managing a pipeline of deals. All applications should include a separate document listing the deals advised on. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience leading a team of Analysts and Associates
  • Experience drafting and pitching strategic initiatives to Partners
  • Experience preparing memorandums, brochures, and marketing documents for negotiations
  • Experience conducting due diligence on prospective companies
  • Experience in deal sourcing, marketing, and communication
  • Experience in project management at a national and global scale

The candidate should also have:

  • A degree in business, finance, or related discipline from a leading UK institution
  • Postgraduate chartered accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CA(SA)) or CFA Level 3
  • At least 4 years of M&A generalist (sell-side) experience
  • Understanding of valuation methods, IRR, LBO, WACC, and DCF
  • Self-motivated, driven, and excellent communication skills
  • Team-oriented work ethic
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
