Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a Corporate Communications Associate Manager to support strategic media engagement and enhance the company’s brand visibility across the UK and Ireland. The role focuses on generating impactful, consistent media coverage in alignment with key business priorities and thought leadership initiatives. This position is a maternity cover for one year and plays a key role within the UK and Ireland media relations team, supporting communications across industries, functions, and strategic insights.

Responsibilities
  • Developand executemedia relations strategies that align with business priorities, particularly in Financial Services, Retail, and Consumer Goods.
  • Generatehigh-impact media coverage in tier-one and trade outlets through proactive storytelling and relationship building.
  • Produceand editclear, concise, and engaging written materials including press releases, talking points, Q&As, and other PR collateral.
  • Providestrategic communications counsel to business leaders, ensuring consistency and clarity of messaging.
  • Manageand mentorthe Media Relations Specialist to support growth and performance.
  • Collaborateacross teams to implement integrated campaigns and communications programs.
  • Adaptglobal thought leadership content for local markets to ensure regional relevance.
  • Measureand report on media engagement results to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensurealignment with brand and communications standards while maintaining a collaborative and proactive approach.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in PR or corporate communications within agency or in-house environments, preferably in marketing, technology, or professional services sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the UK media landscape with proven success in securing media coverage, particularly in financial services.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear and accessible messaging.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic counsel to senior leadership and influence within a matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with media measurement tools, reporting, and analytics.
  • Familiarity with social media and digital engagement strategies.
  • Strong project management, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Experience supporting major industry events and cross-functional communications initiatives.
