Our client a well-established legal practice with a strong presence across Northamptonshire is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Corporate Commercial Solicitor to join their ambitious and collaborative corporate team in Northampton. This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically excellent lawyer with 5 years PQE to take on a leadership role mentor junior team members and work on high-quality corporate and commercial matters.

With a clear pathway to partnership a supportive team structure and genuine scope to shape the departments future this role offers the perfect blend of technical challenge mentoring responsibility and career progression.

About the Role

As a Senior Associate youll manage a varied caseload of corporate and commercial matters whilst playing a key role in developing the skills and expertise of the wider team. Youll work alongside 3 Solicitors 1 Associate and 2 Partners providing technical guidance supervision and mentoring to less experienced team members.

This is a high-responsibility role that requires both technical excellence and strong leadership capabilities with genuine potential for progression to partnership for the right candidate.

Your Caseload Will Include
  • Mergers & Acquisitions Advising on business sales acquisitions and corporate restructuring
  • Commercial Contracts Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements supplier contracts and distribution agreements
  • Corporate Governance Advising on company law shareholders agreements and corporate compliance
  • Joint Ventures & Partnerships Structuring and documenting collaborative business arrangements
  • Commercial Property Transactions Supporting corporate clients with property acquisitions and disposals
  • Team Leadership Supervising mentoring and developing junior solicitors and associates
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate
  • 5 years PQE in corporate and commercial law within a UK legal practice
  • Proven technical expertise across corporate transactions M&A and commercial contracts
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills able to guide and develop junior team members
  • Excellent client relationship management experience managing key client relationships independently
  • Commercial awareness ability to provide pragmatic business-focused legal advice
  • Business development mindset confident in networking and identifying new opportunities
Desirable
  • Experience supervising or managing junior lawyers
  • Demonstrable track record in business development or client following
  • Experience working with SMEs owner-managed businesses or corporate clients
  • Knowledge of employment law IP or data protection as complementary areas
