£60-75k basic + uncapped commission plan
Our client is a scale up omni-channel payments company with an impressive portfolio of existing customers, ambitious private equity investment and a great leadership team. As part of their continued success, they are keen to hire a new BDM to target the corporate/enterprise space, selling a suite of payment solutions.
The role:
- This sales / business development role is an individual contributor position, which is responsible for developing a pipeline of new business in the UK, in line with our company sales strategy.
- This is a true hunter role - you will be tasked with 100% new business development from scratch, and must be able to work a sale through its full cycle from initial conversation to closing & on-boarding.
- Daily sales activities are focused on self-generating new opportunities that will in turn lead to new business income.
- You will reach out directly to targets via social media, cold calling, existing partners, your own network and by attending events/exhibitions representing us. You will develop new relationships and be the face of our brand (we generally target opportunities from £5m CTO upwards).
Day to day tasks:
- Identify, build, develop and manage a pipeline of prospects and build your network / relationships within target accounts
- Your aim will be to identify opportunities to sell our payment solutions, including acquiring, payment gateway, unified commerce and value added services
- Build and utilise third party relationships to help access target accounts - who do we already work with who can help reach the target?
- Utilising our internal CRM to track and monitor sales activity, keeping track of your pipeline and managing differing sales cycles
Who you are:
- Strong payments sales experience with a sales track record gained either from an ISO, PSP, acquirer or other related payments business
- Proven self-starter, networker and relationship builder - able to build a pipeline from scratch & happy to prospect from cold - must enjoy independent working
- A proven track-record of sales & business development success who is goal orientated, happy to work in an agile and performance related culture.
- Proven organisational, planning and time management skills
