About The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Corporate Associate to join our highly regarded Corporate Healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of high-profile and complex healthcare transactions, advising healthcare providers, dental acquirers, corporate groups, funders and investors across the healthcare sector.

As a key member of the team, you will play an integral role in delivering healthcare focused M&A transactions, private equity investments, buy and build strategies, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and ongoing corporate advisory work for regulated businesses. You will have direct client exposure, high levels of responsibility, and opportunities to develop your technical and business development skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

About The Team

Our Corporate Healthcare team has a proven track record and a long-established reputation for advising on the unique and legal commercial challenges facing the healthcare sector. The team is widely recognised for delivering commercially focused, high-quality legal advice on complex and highly regulated healthcare transactions.

We are market leaders in healthcare M&A, acting for healthcare providers, established groups, corporate operators, funders, and investors across different sectors within the healthcare market. The team has a strong track record supporting buy-and-build strategies and providing ongoing corporate advisory support.

We advise across the full lifecycle of a healthcare business, from early-stage growth through to acquisitions, disposals, refinancings, and exits, delivering commercially focused advice on high-value and complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising healthcare clients on M&A transactions, private equity deals, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and general corporate governance with a focus on regulated healthcare businesses.
  • Managing and coordinating healthcare specific due diligence processes, including regulatory compliance, data privacy matters and drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, and advising on deal structuring.
  • Working closely with clients, leading negotiations, and managing transactions from inception to completion.
  • Providing strategic corporate advice to healthcare businesses, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Collaborating with specialists across tax, commercial, employment, banking, and real estate to deliver integrated legal solutions.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, attending client events, networking, and contributing to thought leadership and marketing efforts.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers and trainees, providing guidance on healthcare specific legal issues and best practices.
  • Keeping up to date with legal and regulatory developments, ensuring clients receive proactive and commercially sound advice.
About You

We are looking for a commercially astute corporate solicitor with experience gained within a leading corporate team, ideally with exposure to healthcare matters. You will have experience advising clients on a range of corporate transactions, strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to client management and business development.

Personal Specification
  • Minimum of 4 years PQE in corporate law gained within a reputable UK law firm with experience advising healthcare, or other regulated-sector clients is desirable.
  • Strong experience handling M&A transactions, private equity, corporate finance, and general corporate advisory matters.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to manage transactions from start to finish, working directly with clients and leading negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
  • A commercial and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to provide strategic advice aligned with clients' business objectives.
  • Excellent client management and relationship-building skills, with a track record of developing and maintaining strong client connections.
  • A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple practice areas.
