Job summary

Anglian Water is inviting applications for its two-year Graduate Programme across the Anglian Water area, with travel to Huntingdon and London. You’ll work on real environmental and infrastructure challenges while developing leadership and professional qualifications.

You’ll rotate through placements, learn from experienced colleagues, and contribute to projects supporting customers, communities and the environment as you shape your future career in water.

Qualifications

• You are a recent graduate or studying towards a degree with a final deadline around Sept 2027.
• Must have obtained a minimum 2:2 in the last 3 years or be on track to graduate by September 2027.
• Willingness to relocate or travel within the Anglian Water region for placements.

Responsibilities

• Policy and parliamentary research and insight, monitoring activity and policy developments.
• Drafting internal briefings and external engagement documents.
• Stakeholder engagement support and meeting follow-up research.
• Policy analysis and position development with cross-functional teams.

Your programme

Youwillwork within the Policy andPublic Affairsteamsas part of theCorporate Affairsdirectorate.Responsibilitieswillvary butare likely toinclude:

• Policyandpolitical researchand insight.Monitoringand summarisingparliamentary activity, governmentannouncementsand wider policy developments.
• Drafting internalbriefings and external engagement documents.For example,updates onpolitical andpolicyannouncements,responses togovernment and parliamentaryconsultations.
• Stakeholder engagement support.Assistingwith the preparation andfollow‑upfor meetings,forexampleby researching MPs’ interests, ordraftingkeymessages.
• Policy analysis andposition development.Workingwith colleaguestodevelopcompany positions on emerginggovernment policies,includingdeveloping the evidencebaseto understand theimplicationsofdifferent options.
