Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Head of Leasehold Services to join their team and play a crucial role within their leasehold operations.

Position: Corporate Accounting Manager
Rate: £31 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (July 2026) with Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: 2 days per week in the office

Job Purpose
  • Candidate will lead on the delivery of a comprehensive finance service including the timely and accurate preparation of financial information for management accounting and statutory reporting purposes, including balance sheet and cashflow, maintaining compliance with external regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the team's daily operations, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Coordinate month-end management accounts and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely completion of tasks, reconciliation of accounts, and submission of financial reports.
  • Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing necessary support during audits.
Job Requirements
  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • At least 1 year experience within a Corporate Accounting Manager role or equivalent.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
