A leading eye hospital in the UK is seeking a Specialist Trainee in Ophthalmology. The successful candidate will manage clinical sessions, perform surgeries, and engage in teaching and research. Applicants must hold a relevant ophthalmic qualification and have experience in cataract surgery. The role offers a chance for career progression and fellowship opportunities starting from February 2025.
The successful applicant must be registered with the General Medical Council and hold a licence to practice. Possession of FRCOphth/MRCOphth or an equivalent ophthalmic qualification is required. Applicants should be at Specialist Trainee grade or equivalent and near completion of their higher specialist training in Ophthalmology.
Applicants should have experience in phacoemulsification cataract surgery, having completed 250 surgeries with audit evidence of results, and be able to operate independently without supervision.

Fellowship opportunities are available as early as February 2025.
