Job summary

iSAM is a leading quantitative trading technology firm based in London, offering funds and securities services. The Core Technology Analyst will implement fund operations across managed futures and quantitative funds, and oversee day-to-day service provider workflows.

You will work independently following approved policies, reviewing reconciliations and supporting risk reporting. Strong Excel skills are essential; Python is a plus, STEM degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree level required, STEM preferred.
• 1-2+ years’ experience in fund administration/investment banking/hedge funds.

Responsibilities

• Review daily and monthly fund trading reconciliations and cash accounts.
• Interact with internal teams, investment managers and prime brokers to resolve questions.
• Prepare and review internal performance estimates and reconcile records.
• Review corporate action information and follow up with stakeholders.
• Generate and review reports including broker commissions, interest and margin.
• Monitor all fund service providers and valuation service provider NAV calculations.
• Manage cash, treasury, margins and settlements according to policy.
• Assist risk management with daily and monthly risk reports.

About the Role:

The Core Technology Analyst will be part of the team responsible for the implementation of the fund operations functions for the company across a range of managed futures and quantitative style funds in addition to implementation and day to day monitoring of service provider business. You must be able to work independently and in accordance with approved company and fund policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Independently review completion of daily “t+1” trading reconciliation of trading positions and cash accounts.
• Interact professionally with internal teams, investment managers and prime brokers to resolve questions and reconciliation differences.
• Preparation and review of internal performance estimates by reconciling between the company and counterparties records.
• Review of daily corporate action information and following up with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
• Generation and review of daily and monthly reports including broker commissions, interest, margin and performance statistics.
• Monitoring of all Fund service providers.
• Review and verification of independent administrator (valuation service provider) month end net asset value calculation on a detailed level, including complex master feeder structures, fee calculation and managed account vehicles. Ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
• Cash management including accounts payable, treasury management, counterparty margin and trade settlement, and movements between Master Feeder structure to ensure compliance to company and fund policy and procedures.
• Assist the risk management function in the production and review of daily and monthly reports pertaining to all three business lines.

Qualifications:

• Educated to Degree level, ideally with a STEM background
• Ideally 1-2+ years’ experience working at a fund administrator, investment bank or at a hedge fund
• Has an interest in financial markets
• Excellent excel skills
• Python skills would be an added advantage
