Job summary

A leading telecommunications company based in Greater London is seeking a passionate Junior Copywriter to join its creative in-house team. You will craft engaging content for various digital platforms including websites, emails, and social media, ensuring adherence to the Vodafone tone of voice. With a collaborative approach, you will work closely with designers and project managers to optimize user experiences. This role requires at least 2 years of copywriting experience. What you’ll do

The Group Brand & Media team’s remit covers brand strategy, creative, media, identity and orchestration across all Vodafone global markets. For context, Vodafone is one of the largest advertisers in the world with a budget of €750m.

We’re looking for a junior passionate driven copywriter to join our creative in‑house studio.

As a vital member of our creative team, you’ll be responsible for crafting clear, concise, and compelling copy that enhances user experiences across our digital platforms. You’ll work on content like web, apps, email marketing, social posts and internal communications. Ensuring the Vodafone tone of voice is used and understood at all customer touchpoints across the business.

You’ll be used to handling multiple projects, dealing with all types of stakeholders, comfortable talking about your work and building relationships at all levels in a fast‑paced environment. Working under the Creative Lead and next to another Copywriter, 2 x Designers, 2 x Video Editors and a Project Manager to help bring the new Vodafone Group creative vision to life.

  • Write and edit copy for a broad range of stakeholders and projects from all areas of the business
  • Create copy for all digital channels like websites, emails, social and more
  • Edit app copy with UX guidance for UI designers to get the best customer flow
  • Write and edit user‑focused content, including UI text, labels, and instructional copy
  • Act as a tone of voice consultant within the business to provide guidance across all communications
  • Work closely with the legal and regulatory teams to ensure all content complies with industry standards and regulations
  • Understand the different language styles in translation for all markets
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, and UX engineers to define the customer journey for various Vodafone products and campaigns
  • Participate in the creative process from concept to completion, providing insights and recommendations
  • Work with Adobe Workfront project management tool to ensure timely completion of all briefs
Who you are
  • At least 2 years professional copywriting experience in‑house or agency
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • Telco or tech industry experience would be beneficial
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and engaging content for a variety of digital products and platforms
  • Strong understanding of UX writing principles and how content influences user behaviour and interaction
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiar with Agile project management tools like Workfront and design software like Figma would be advantageous
  • Ability to build relationships with teams and senior leaders across the business
  • Organised and reliable on delivery deadlines with attention to detail
  • The more creative you are, the better
