Unsolicited Films is seeking a Freelance Screening Tour Coordinator to support the early-stage planning of a small-scale UK screening tour for a completed 57-minute independent documentary by filmmaker Zac. The tour is planned for 2026 (exact dates flexible), with screenings intended for independent cinemas, community arts spaces, grassroots venues and alternative cultural organisations across the UK.

About the Film

The documentary is a personal, reflective work exploring early childhood memory, urban landscapes, and the filmmaker’s long and difficult relationship with underground music subcultures in Beijing. The tour aims to connect with audiences through intimate, community-focused screenings rather than mainstream festival or commercial channels.

About the Role

This freelance role is focused on remote coordination and venue communication, not on technical or on-site delivery. The Coordinator will research suitable venues, initiate contact, gather availability and logistical requirements, and help shape a preliminary route and schedule for the tour. The role requires clear written communication, strong organisational skills and familiarity with independent film exhibition or arts programming.
