Job summary

Electus Healthcare is recruiting a Cook Manager at Saintfield Lodge Care Home to lead the catering team, plan menus, and ensure high quality meals for residents. You will manage food orders, budgets and stock, while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing kitchen staff, training, recruitment, and rota, with day shifts across a 7-day cycle. Full training provided; equal opportunities employer aann.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Electus Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Cook Manager in Saintfield Lodge Care Home. This is a great opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking Cook to enhance their career leading the catering team.

We are looking for an individual that will be passionate about food and understand the importance of the home using fresh ingredients to provide the highest quality of food and beverages to our residents.

About the role

As the Cook Manager it will be your responsibility to plan, order supplies, prepare and present high quality food and hospitality for our residents. Working to the highest of standards, ensuring dietary requirements of all the residents are met. We provide a mixture of modified diets and cater for all dietary requirements across the Home. Choice will always be provided with thought given to individual and cultural preferences.

You will:

• Provide appetising and nutritious meals for our residents, in line with the company menu and individual preferences.
• Ensure all food preparation meets the requirements of COSHH, Food safety and health & safety regulations
• Manage food budgets and stocks, place food orders.
• Check deliveries as required and place them in the appropriate storage areas.
• Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas of the kitchen.
• Overall kitchen staff management, training, recruiting and rota.
• Work a mixture of day shifts over a 7 day rota.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role
