Job summary

KLONDYKE GROUP LIMITED in Scotland is seeking a Full Time Permanent Cook for the Coffee Shop at Howdens Garden Centre. The successful candidate will prepare a range of meals and snacks from our menu, working within a small team under the Coffee Shop Manager to deliver freshly prepared food with top-notch customer service.

Hours are 40 per week over five days, with weekend shifts. The rate is £13.01 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passion for good quality, fresh produce and food.
• Solid understanding of food hygiene requirements.
• Good presentation skills for plated dishes.
• Excellent communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients.
• Prepare hot and cold food orders to order.
• Monitor stock levels and contribute to ordering.
• Work efficiently to minimise waste.
• Clean equipment and work areas to high hygiene standards.
• Close down the kitchen each day and prep for the following day.

Our competitive rate of pay is £13.01 per hour.

Hours for the role are 40 per week over 5 days. All positions include weekend working so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Cook, you will be responsible for producing a range of meals and snacks from our menu. You will work at part of a small team under the guidance of the Coffee Shop Manager and be passionate about freshly prepared food served with the highest levels of customer service.

What you will be doing as a Cook?

• Prepare fresh ingredients
• Prepare hot and cold food orders to order
• Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
• Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
• Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
