Job summary

A care home provider in England is seeking a passionate Cook to prepare home-cooked meals for residents. Qualifications

Cook/Chef, based at Coppelia House, Moretonhampstead - Part time hours available - 24 hours per week, to include alternate weekends. £14.75, £15.00 per hour at weekends.

  • Plan and prepare and cook balanced, home-cooked meals tailored to resident's dietary needs
  • Ensure meals are presented well and served on time
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and nutritional guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and well‑organised kitchen
  • Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure resident's needs are met
  • Bringing warmth, pride, and maybe even a few laughs into the heart of the home.
What we're looking for:
  • An experience passionate Cook
  • Knowledge of food safety, allergies, and dietary requirements (e.g., soft diets, diabetic‑friendly meals) - or a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and keep calm under pressure
  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • A warm, friendly personality and a good sense of humour - it helps in a busy kitchen!
