Job summary

The National Trust is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team in a rural setting. You will prepare and present fresh, seasonal dishes, using our National Trust Cookbook framework, and serve visitors directly.

You’ll be inducted with training in allergens and food safety, with mentoring and opportunities for professional development. We emphasise health and safety compliance, teamwork, and a positive attitude as you help ensure smooth service across our cafes and sites in England, Wales and

Job description

As a Cook, your focus will be in the kitchen, helping to prepare and present delicious food from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Your food will be served directly to visitors. Using the framework of our 'National Trust Cookbook', you'll prepare, measure and mix ingredients. You'll help with deliveries and with keeping the kitchen clean, to be compliant with health and safety legislation and to make sure that service runs smoothly. We'll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. Job details

• Hours: 37.5 hours per week to include some weekend and bank holiday working.
• Salary: 25,837.50 per annum
