Description
  • Working in a friendly, 46-bedded residential home in Farnham, Surrey.
  • Some professional cooking experience is preferred.
  • Pay: £13.60 per hour plus £1.85 weekend enhancement.
  • Shift times: 8:00am - 3:00pm and 11.00am - 7:00pm.
  • Bank hours as required.
You will be required to
  • Work at all times within the practice taught in the Food Hygiene course.
  • Prepare food for appropriate meals as specified by the menu.
  • Ensure any food prepared looks pleasant, is tasty and kept hot/cold as needed.
  • Ensure food waste is kept to a minimum.
  • Ensure the kitchen is tidy and clean at the end of a shift.
  • Ensure a safe environment for other staff.
  • Ensure fridge, freezers and food temperatures are recorded twice a day.
  • Ensure daily/weekly and monthly cleaning tasks are carried out to a high standard and signed for.
  • Ensure the Better Food Better Business is correct and kept up to date.
  • Report any problems to the Person-in-Charge as appropriate.
  • Gain feedback from residents during meal times.
  • Complete ordering to ensure plenty of stock is available to be able to fulfil the daily menus.
  • Be aware of residents’ nutritional needs and cater accordingly.
