Job summary

Aurem Care is offering a role in its care homes for a Cook who can deliver tasty meals and maintain high hygiene standards. The position involves meal preparation, order fulfilment, and supporting staff while meeting residents’ dietary needs.

You will work in a busy kitchen, follow HACCP documentation, and assist in menu planning. The role rewards with a bank contract, flexible hours, and opportunities for progression, training, and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have previous cooking experience.
• Be able to work well as part of a team and independently showing creativity and passion for the work you do.
• Be able to follow and prioritise tasks and responsibilities.
• Proficiency in food preparation techniques.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties for meal preparations, orders and staff requirements, whilst maintaining food hygiene standards.

• Report any defects to equipment to the Home Manager.
• Ensure good quality and portion control.
• Assist Head Chef with four weekly menu planning.

• To ensure a high level of service for all meal times.
• To complete all documentation relating to HACCP.

• Any ad hoc duties to meet service delivery for our residents.
