The City of Edinburgh Council is looking for an experienced Cook 3 to join Portobello High School's catering team. You will prepare meals, assist with basic food preparation and deliver friendly customer care to pupils and staff within a school setting.

This part-time post (26 hours per week across 38 weeks) is PVG-regulated and requires a successful disclosure check. We value diverse applicants and support flexible working where possible.

Salary: £ 26,205-£26,525 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 26 per week, 38 weeks sessional

Our cook 3's/catering assistants play a vital role in delivering high quality catering services within schools. Working as part of a team, to deliver a range of meals, basic food preparation and great customer care.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
