The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting for a Cook 1 at Parkside Primary School in Edinburgh. The role involves delivering high quality school catering, basic food preparation and strong customer service within a team setting.

Working part-time, the post operates 8 hours per week across 38 weeks per year. The appointment is subject to PVG scheme checks and appropriate safeguarding measures as part of pre-employment screening.

Location: Bun-Sgoil Taobh Na Pairce (Parkside Primary School)

Salary £ 25,661 - £25,924 (pro-rata for part time and sessional)
Hours 8 per week, 38 weeks per year

Our cook 1's/catering assistants play a vital role in delivering high quality catering services within schools. Working as part of a team, to deliver a range of meals, basic food preparation and great customer care.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
